For the last thirty years I have been actively involved with developing ideas and techniques in glass, whilst consistently using drawing as a means of exploring the themes. Having trained as a Fine Artist at the Slade, I originally went to work for a large Stained Glass company both as a Designer/Artist and Maker. There my love of glass developed and it became intrinsically part of my own personal practice. In parallel I lectured at the University for the Creative Arts and worked with Outreach and Access on a P/T basis, whilst developing my own work. I am interested in many areas of glass techniques, particularly the scientific aspect that is part and parcel of working with the material. It is this combination of Science and Art that is both a challenge and constantly leads to new discoveries and results.
